Olympic Spirit

The Winter Olympics start today and will be broadcast here in the United States on NBC at 8/7 central.

This is such an exciting time and I have an even stronger sense of Olympic Spirit after Salt Lake City hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics. My husband was a volunteer who worked in the speed skating venue working with the foreign dignitaries. He had a wonderful experience and it was so amazing to hear his stories at the end of each day. I will try to share some of our Olympic pictures on my blogs over the next few weeks.

Here's a great quote to kick off the Olympics:

“The important thing in life is not to triumph but to compete.”

Pierre de Coubertin

Pierre de Coubertin was the founder of the modern Olympic Games.

Hope you enjoy the Olympics!
